Dickies Arena is a 14,000-seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The state-of-the-art arena, opened in November 2019, hosts concerts, sporting events, and family entertainment, and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo performances.
Job Summary:
Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC) is looking for a part-time Concessions Supervisor. This position is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of Concession Stands, Bars, portables, vending/hawker, Club Seat & Rodeo Boxes (in-Seat Service), including, but not limited to, pre-event setup, event day operations, and associated administrative paperwork.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain full knowledge of all menu items, production specifications, ingredients, cooking times, and presentations.
- Assist with pre-event setup for all locations and spaces.
- Assist with troubleshooting point-of-sale (POS) systems, including device functionality, connectivity, transaction errors, and user support.
- Follow all cash-handling and tip-reporting guidelines.
- Verify opening inventory in assigned areas and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure proper execution of responsible alcohol service.
- Always maintain proper sanitation and food safety standards, following all health codes and company guidelines.
- Oversee all concession operations and support expeditor efforts, food timing, cashier/server efficiency, and guest hospitality.
- Assist the Concessions Management Team with training team members to promote their success and the success of the department.
- Provide in-event coaching on proper practices and procedures; debrief management after each shift.
- Verify that all side work is completed correctly and within the expected time frame.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed each shift, including but not limited to temperature logs, inventory sheets, void sheets, spoilage tracking, etc.
- Organize and file all event paperwork, including, but not limited to, stand inventory sheets, cleaning logs, requisition forms, etc.
- Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation throughout the event.
- Monitor stand wait times and escalate concerns when service thresholds are exceeded.
- Assist management with completing monthly inventory tasks.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of all storage areas, including back bars, storage rooms, beverage cages, pantries, walk-in coolers, and storage cabinets.
- Conduct end-of-night walk-throughs to ensure inventory is secured and all spaces meet sanitation and appearance standards.
- Navigate the arena confidently and assist guests as needed.
- Collaborate with operational counterparts to ensure event service standards are met.
- Support the development and implementation of new ideas, practices, and policies within the operation.
- Practice proper product control and handle all inventory and equipment responsibly.
- Set up, maintain, and break down/clean concessions equipment to ensure proper use.
- Assign opening, in-event, and closing duties based on designated location(s).
- Support other Food & Beverage departments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a leadership role working in a fast-paced hospitality environment preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Efficiently navigate concessions computer systems and POS
- Strong attention to detail
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy
- Works well with others; establishes and maintains effective relationships with fellow workers and supervisors
- Follow cash handling and tip reporting guidelines
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including – nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Working Conditions:
- Employees will work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures. This includes working outdoors.
- Employees must have the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Employees will regularly spend their shift standing/walking, traveling stairs, with limited to no sitting.
- Employees may be exposed to high noise levels and/or fluctuating lights in event settings.
- Employees may be exposed to sharp objects, machines with moving parts, heat from ovens, burners, steam, trays, etc.
- Employees must have the ability to reach, lift, and bend to perform job duties throughout the shift.
