Parking Concierge (PT)

Dickies Arena is a 14,000 seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The state-of-the-art arena, opened in November 2019, and hosts concerts, sporting events and family entertainment, and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo performances.

Reports to: Parking Services Manager and Parking Supervisor on Duty

Summary: The Parking Concierge position’s primary duty is to ensure that our Premium Parking Guests are parked efficiently and in the correct spaces during Dickies Arena Events.  The position requires outstanding interpersonal and problem resolution skills.  This position is an accredited position requiring a 90% passing score for job knowledge.  The Parking Concierge will perform three different roles on a continual basis, which includes roving throughout the reserved area of the garage, verifying access to reserved areas, and resolving guest concerns or problems. In-person and predictable attendance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including but not limited to):

  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Verify guest credentials to determine access to reserved parking areas
  • Direct all parking guests to the proper floors
  • Maintain a working knowledge of most premium parker guest names and reserved areas
  • Assist guests in finding their reserved parking space in an expedited manner
  • Assist guest with flat tires, dead batteries and key lockouts.
  • Greet each customer with genuine hospitality
  • Communicate via radio to other parking employees
  • Communicate parking issues to the Premium Guest Services Team and Parking Manager
  • Resolve traffic congestion problems during events

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous parking and customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to pass a knowledge test with passing score of 90%
  • Must be knowledgeable of specific guests needs and concerns and respond with specific solutions to those needs
  • Ability to memorize reserved space locations on each of three reserved garage floors
  • Ability to assist with flat tire inflation and battery jump starts
  • Must possess proactive guest satisfaction skills by anticipating the guest’s needs
  • Ability to resolve difficult guest problems with professionalism and positive attitude
  • Ability to work extended shifts during Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo during January and February each year.

While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to multi-task under time limits and with moderate to high pressure situations. Position requires constant attention to details. This position requires employee to frequently work both independently or as part of a team. Position also requires being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, by being able to openly communicate with others.

Physical demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will frequently work in all types of weather conditions.  Employee may occasionally be required due to business demands and event operations to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, including moving cones and traffic barricades and signage.  The ability to maneuver to assist with tire inflation and battery jump start service is required.

Work environment:

The duties of this position are performed primarily outdoors in all type of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.   The position requires wearing a jacket and tie in all weather conditions.  The highest standards of personal appearance and uniform standards must be maintained.
