Dickies Arena is a 14,000 seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The state-of-the-art arena, opened in November 2019, and will host concerts, sporting events and family entertainment, and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo performances.

Reports to: Parking Revenue Manager

Summary: The Parking Cash Room Lead is responsible for ensuring the accurate distribution and collection of currency for events and daily parking operations.  Cash room leads follow direction of the Parking Revenue Manager.  Cash room lead is a part-time, event-based position located within the Parking Department inside the Chevrolet Garage.  Hours for this position will vary depending on the Arena and WRMC event schedules. In-person and predictable attendance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including but not limited to):

  • Prepare bank allotments by counting currency, verifying, and balancing the cash vault
  • Prepare packets of parking tickets and reconciling to inventory
  • Issue bank funds to individual cashiers and receive funds back from cashiers
  • Issue parking equipment and radios to cashiers and receive parking equipment and radios back from cashiers
  • Receive and deposit bank drops from cashiers and logging deposits on the bank drop log
  • Processing cashier deposits into the electronic safe
  • Provide review of cashier paperwork to verify that sales reports are complete and that all deposits and returned bank funds are accounted for
  • Conduct daily audit of assigned vault funds
  • Ensure that cashier reports are organized uniformly for next day review by Parking Revenue Manager
  • Review cashier reports at close-out with individual cashiers to clarify exceptions to transactions
  • Assist Parking Revenue Manager with parking audits
  • Prepare change fund deposits as needed
  • Ensure that work area is secure, neat and orderly at all times
  • Performing sweeping of floors and cleaning of counter tops inside cash room
  • Preparing daily event information sheets
  • Printing of maps and other event related materials
  • Assist the Parking Revenue Manager with additional tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous parking and customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience with high volume cash handling
  • Ability to work with word and excel computer applications
  • Ability to type using word documents
  • Experience using an adding machine calculator versus traditional calculator
  • Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills required
  • Prior experience with money counting machines required
  • Attention to details is required
  • Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment as well as during stressful situations.
  • Ability to work extended shifts during Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo during January and February each year.

While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to multi-task under time limits and with moderate to high pressure situations. Position requires constant attention to details and accuracy of specified standards including verifying financial data. This position requires employee to frequently work both independently or as part of a team. Position also requires being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, by being able to openly communicate with others.

Physical demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will frequently operate a computer and other office devices such as calculators, telephones, copy machines, faxes and printers. Employee will constantly move about inside and outside various areas of the facility before/during/after events to interact with internal/external clients. Employee must constantly communicate via telephone, email and in-person with others and exchange accurate information. Employee may occasionally be required due to business demands and event operations to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work environment:

The duties of this position are performed primarily indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
