Dickies Arena is a 14,000 seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC).

Dickies Arena hosted 172 events in our last fiscal year and has been nominated for Arena of the year by both the Academy of Country Music and Pollstar Magazine in 2022 and 2023. The arena now ranks 2nd in gross ticket sales and attendance in Billboard Magazine’s Worldwide Boxscore Midyear chart among venues of similar size. Reports to: Manager of Suites and Loge Boxes

Job Description :

The Suite and Lodge Box Pantry Coordinator is responsible for making sure each suite and loge box is properly and completely set prior to each event start time, ensuring orders during the event are delivered timely and to spec, ensuring that the locations are cleared of any remaining food, beverage, and equipment at the end of the event and resetting for the next event. This, in part, is accomplished by the checking in/out and rotation of product, accurate inventory and pantry organization. The Suites and Loge Box Pantry Coordinator will assign tasks to up to 12 team members. The Suites and Loge Box Pantry Coordinator is required to communicate with the food and beverage team (suite attendants, food runners, supervisors, managers, cooks, and chefs) and guests of the arena. The Pantry Coordinator also assists in overseeing accurate suites and loge box billing for the locations. This includes entering orders, closing orders, reauthorizing credit cards, and adding gratuities. It is the Suite and Loge Box Pantry Coordinator's job to be helpful, respectful and to always ensure that our suite and loge box guests have a seamless and enjoyable food and beverage experience. The pantry coordinator assists in monitoring staff, ensuring safety, sanitation, and responsible service of alcohol, while striving for an optimal experience for guests and staff. Pantry coordinators will actively support any additional needs and objectives of the Dickies Arena Leadership Team. Suite and Loge Box Pantry Coordinators reports to the Suites and Loge Box Management Team. This is a part-time, event-based position located within the Food and Beverage Department of Dickies Arena. Hours for this position fluctuate depending upon the arena event schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • At least one year of operations experience.
  • Food and beverage background preferred but not required.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail and proven customer service skills

  • Works well with others, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow workers and supervisors.

Essential Duties (Include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Responsible for ensuring quality experiences and hospitality throughout the Club Level of the arena.
  • Communicate and work with department counterparts to ensure food quality and service standards are always maintained.
  • Responsible for pantry organization and food and beverage preparation
  • Responsible for assisting in closing out financials and ensuring billing accuracy for each event.
  • Responsible for assigning team members to specific event related tasks.
  • Serve as a liaison between Suite and Loge Box Supervisors and Kitchen staff throughout each event.
  • Responsible for assisting with the supervision of team members on non-event (set up) and event days.
  • Assist management with monitoring department by maintaining policies and procedures, upholding safety, and sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive atmosphere for team members and guests.
  • Ensure food and beverage orders that are placed during the event are delivered to Suites & Loge Boxes as quickly and accurately as possible.
  • Expedite the communication of special food and beverage requests, delayed ticket times for food and beverage orders, changes to any food and beverage orders, and guest-related requirements to the management team.
  • Organize receipts, invoices, and/or transaction documents on an event basis.
  • Assist with maintaining and ensuring excellent customer service for internal and external guests.
  • Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control and product requisition within pantry/ for the department.
  • Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments.
  • Responsible for reporting event notes and pertinent information to staff
  • Be comfortable with the arena and know how to navigate personally, as well as assist guests.
  • Direct any inquiries not regarding food and beverage to the correct entity and/or personnel within the arena.
  • Support any other Food & Beverage departments as needed.
  • Support any other tasks as assigned by the Dickies Arena Leadership Team

Supervisory Responsibility

Intellectual/Social demands:

While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to multi-task under time limits and with moderate to high pressure situations. Position requires constant attention to details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires frequent use of interpersonal skills with internal and external clients. Employee will frequently communicate via radio and in-person with others and exchange accurate information. This position requires employee to frequently work both independently or as part of a team. Position also requires being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, by being able to openly communicate with clients.

Physical demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will frequently operate a point of sale terminal, computers, phones and printers. Employee will constantly move about inside and outside various areas of the facility before/during/after events to interact with various departments and supervise the work of employees during events. Employee must constantly communicate via telephone, radio and in-person with others and exchange accurate information. Employee will regularly spend most of their shift standing and walking, traversing stairs, with limited to no sitting. Employee may occasionally be required due to business demands and event operations to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. As business, maintenance, operations or emergency situations require, employee may sporadically assist in lifting/moving 100 lbs. or more. Employee must be comfortable with raised volume and/ or dark lighting in specific event settings.

Work environment:

The duties of this position are performed primarily indoors but do require frequent movement in and out of controlled temperature units such as refrigerators and/or freezers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, with the exception of event days, where the sound levels may be higher than moderate. Employee will be occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, year-round. Employee will be exposed to and working in extreme temperatures when utilizing various pieces of equipment.
