Dickies Arena is a 14,000 seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The state-of-the-art arena, opened in November 2019, hosts concerts, sporting events and family entertainment, and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo performances.

Job Description

The Event Security Command Dispatch will be responsible for managing the Event Command Center at Dickies Arena on event days. The Event Security Command Dispatch will oversee incoming and outgoing information to and from the Command center to Event Staff as well as managing the Event Command Timeline for each specific event. Responsibilities include utilizing Radio Transmission, electronic media and other technology to manage calls and event activity. In-person and predictable attendance.

Essential Functions

Receive incoming radio transmissions to the Event Command Center.

Dispatch requests to each department as necessary based on incoming radio transmissions.

Manage all incidents (major & minor) through the incident management software 24-7.

Maintain Event Command Timeline by dispatching responsibilities and notices to all necessary staff and departments.

Monitor & control CC Security Cameras to assist with Traffic & Crowd flow in and out of the arena and parking facilities, response to incidents, to assist with event requests and to assist with any other risk management items.

Monitor Dickies Arena incoming text requests and dispatch personnel as required.

Maintain communication as necessary with Fort Worth Police Department & Fire Department Command Center Staff including but not limited to emergency calls and weapons verifications.

Attend Event Staff briefings before each event.

Review Event information at the start of each shift to become familiar with the event needs. This information includes but is not limited to Event Memos, Brief Sheets, Staffing Sheets, Event Command Timeline, Event Specific Maps, Credential Boards, and more.

Submit in-event and post event reports as necessary including but not limited to drop counts and event recaps.

Monitor Weather Station during severe weather situations.

During Emergency situations must remain calm and have the ability to dispatch information to necessary personnel and may act as Incident Command depending on the specifics of the incident.

Adhere to Trail Drive Management Corporation (TDMC) Policies and Procedures.

Act as a role model within and outside Dickies Arena.

Performs duties as workload necessitates.

Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.

There will be an expected minimum number of events worked.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age.

Must have High School Diploma or GED.

Must be able to follow proper radio etiquette.

Previous dispatch experience strongly preferred.

Previous experience in a supervisory role at a Sports or Entertainment venue preferred.

Effective verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm during times of stress.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions to include extreme heat, cold and rain.

Must be able to lift, pull, push and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds as necessary.

Must be physically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, along with navigating through ramps and stairways during each shift.
