Dickies Arena is a 14,000-seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The state-of-the-art arena will host concerts, sporting events, and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo performances.
Job Summary:
Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC) is looking for a part-time Concessions Bar Lead. This position is responsible for taking and preparing drinks for guests and delivering exceptional service to bar patrons, as well as providing oversight to all bar staff working in a specific bar location.
Essential Job Functions:
- Understand and ensure proper execution of responsible alcohol service.
- Provide oversight for the assigned bar location and all team members, including managing breaks, monitoring uniform standards, overseeing cash-handling practices, managing inventory, ensuring sanitation standards, and supervising proper setup and breakdown.
- Assign opening, in-event, and closing duties based on the assigned location(s).
- Accurately mix standard cocktail recipes and maintain proper pour levels while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Set up, maintain, and break down the bar location at each event, ensuring all cleaning and sanitation standards are met.
- Conduct accurate inventory during each shift, including liquor counts and bottle-for-bottle tracking.
- Complete daily paperwork to support inventory control and ordering procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed each shift, including temperature logs, inventory sheets, void forms, spoilage tracking, and bottle-for-bottle records.
- Always maintain proper sanitation and food safety standards, following all health codes and company guidelines.
- Remain visible, approachable, and ready to assist guests as needed.
- Consistently help maintain and deliver excellent customer service.
- Maintain full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and their accompaniments.
- Navigate the arena confidently and assist guests with directions and inquiries.
- Conduct end-of-night walk-throughs to ensure all inventory is secured and all spaces meet sanitation and appearance standards.
- Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation throughout the event.
- Monitor stand wait times and escalate concerns when service thresholds are exceeded.
- Assist the Concessions Management Team with training team members to promote their success and the success of the department.
- Provide in-event coaching on proper practices and procedures; communicate updates to management following each shift.
- Verify that all side work is completed correctly and in the appropriate time frame.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of all storage areas, including back bars, storage rooms, beverage cages, pantries, and walk-in coolers.
- Practice proper product control and responsible handling of all inventory and equipment.
- Set up, maintain, and break down/clean concessions equipment to ensure proper use.
- Support other Food & Beverage departments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a bartending leadership role working in a fast-paced hospitality environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy
- Works well with others; establishes and maintains effective relationships with fellow workers and supervisors
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including – nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Working Conditions:
- Employees will work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures. This includes working outdoors.
- Employees must have the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Employees will regularly spend their shift standing/walking, traveling stairs, with limited to no sitting.
- Employees may be exposed to high noise levels and/or fluctuating lights in event settings.
- Employees may be exposed to sharp objects, machines with moving parts, etc.
- Employees must have the ability to reach, lift, and bend to perform job duties throughout the shift.
